Hawk Resources Limited (ASX: “HWK”) is a critical and precious metals explorer with copper-gold and lithium projects in the USA and Brazil and a Board and executive team with decades of successful international multi-commodity mineral exploration experience.  The Company’s primary exploration focus is the Cactus copper-gold project in Utah, USA and in Brazil it is advancing lithium projects in the states of Minas Gerais and Bahia.  At Cactus, Hawk has identified six copper-gold targets with drill testing planned in Q4 2025.

Hawk’s objective is to rapidly discover, delineate and develop critical and precious metal deposits for mining.  The Company’s projects are held either directly or through option agreements via Hawk’s USA and Brazil subsidiaries.  

The Cactus project near Milford in southern Utah, USA is located within an historical copper-gold mining district which has been explored by a number of companies following the end of mining in 1920.  The historical Cactus mine produced 1.3Mt grading 2.0% copper, 0.3g/t gold and 6g/t silver.   Most recently Kennecott Exploration (‘KEX’; a Rio Tinto group company) explored the district for large scale porphyry copper deposits under an option agreement with Hawk Resources from late 2019 until mid-2023.  KEX’s drilling at the historical Cactus mine intersected 41m grading 1.9% Cu, 0.6g/t Au (SAWM0001) within 72m grading 1.1% Cu, 0.3g/t Au. This hole is consistent with historical holes with high grade copper intersections including 4.9m @ 6.7% Cu within 43.6m @ 1.7% Cu from 207.9m downhole (DDH8; no Au assays) and 12.2m @ 3.31% Cu within 22.9m @ 2.06% Cu from 1.5m downhole (R14; no Au assays).

Hawk’s priority at Cactus is to evaluate the potential for medium tonnage high grade near surface oxide plus breccia and intrusive hosted sulphide copper-gold deposits. Hawk’s exploration suggests that the mineralisation at Cactus and the neighbouring gold rich Comet deposit remains open at depth with potential for additional lenses.  Hawk’s processing of magnetic and induced polarisation geophysical survey data plus soil geochemistry and geological mapping has identified six priority targets within the project area with drilling planned in Q4, 2025.

Hawk Resources drilling at the Detroit gold project near the town of Delta in Utah has confirmed oxide and primary gold at the Mizpah prospect with all twenty holes in a 2022 drilling programme intersecting mineralisation.  There are two additional untested gold in soil anomalies along a 4km strike of prospective host rocks.  It also has the untested ‘chargeability stem’ IP anomaly within the Basin Main intrusive complex.

Initial stream sampling of Hawk’s seven lithium projects in Minas Gerais, Brazil has identified lithium and rare earth element anomalies in the Itambacuri, Carai, Catuji and Itaipe project areas.  Metal correlations suggest that the anomalies are associated with lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) granites which have the potential to host lithium bearing  pegmatites.   The Salitre lithium prospect in northern Bahia state consists of the Salitre North and Salitre South prospects which both have +100ppm lithium in soil anomalies.   The anomalies are open to the south and north respectively have the potential to extend through the 4km gap in the sampling between the two prospects.

Hawk also has an ongoing programme of identifying, reviewing and securing new opportunities to upgrade our pipeline of projects.
