IVEY Group is an international recruitment and immigration firm headquartered in Sudbury, Ontario, at the centre of Canada's hard-rock mining supply and services cluster. It exists to solve one problem for industrial employers: they cannot find enough skilled trades and technical workers domestically, and they do not have the internal capability to recruit, sponsor, relocate and retain them from abroad. IVEY does all of it under one roof.

The company sources candidates from more than 30 countries across Latin America, francophone and anglophone Africa, North Africa, Southeast Asia, and Europe. Every candidate is screened for technical competence, immigration admissibility, language and cultural fit before an employer sees a resume. IVEY then processes the employer's Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) and the worker's permit and permanent residency applications through in-house Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs). Finally, IVEY manages arrival and integration: pre-departure cultural coaching, travel logistics, government identification, banking, health cover, housing, and structured follow-up with both employer and worker through the first three months.

That last stage is what the company competes on. 95% of the workers IVEY places are still with their employer two years later. Replacing a skilled worker can cost up to 30 per cent of annual salary, so retention, not placement volume, is the metric that determines return on investment. IVEY's practice of preparing the worker's family alongside the worker supports long-term retention.  

Since 2021 IVEY has placed more than 3,000 international workers with over 170 Canadian employers. Placements include heavy equipment technicians, production workers, welders, millwrights and other skilled tradespeople in maintenance, electrical work and carpentry. In 2023 alone the firm processed 148 LMIAs and more than 490 work permit applications. Its candidate database holds over 30,000 screened skilled workers.

Through its mining-division, Rock Solid Resources, IVEY Group also provides skilled professionals and technical field support to mining operations and contractors across Northen Ontario, Quebec and Western Canada. Rock Solid Resources specializes in on-demand deployment, maintenance execution and project workforce solutions, with rapid deployment capabilities to remote sites.

Clients include Glencore Canada, Agnico Eagle, Toromont Cat, McEwen Mining, Alamos Gold and Lakeshore Gold. alongside mining contractors and equipment dealers across Northern Ontario and Quebec.
