Chief Mining Engineer

Rob has over 32 years underground hard rock mining experience, working in both operational and technical roles.  His commodity exposure covers gold, copper and silver/lead/zinc.

He presently serves as the Chief Mining Engineer at Fosterville Gold Mine, where he has been for 7 months. His responsibilities encompass the provision of leadership, strategic planning and specialist technical services to the Fosterville mining operation.  Prior to joining Fosterville, Rob spent 10 years working for Unity Mining as Chief Mining Engineer and Mining Manager.  He previously worked for AMC Consultants, Pasminco and CRA Limited in various technical roles.   

Rob has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Engineering) from the University of NSW and a Master of Science (Mineral Economics) from Curtin University.  He is a Fellow of the AUSIMM.
