Vanessa is an experienced business professional with more than 25 years of strategic and hands-on involvement across a range of industries. Over the past decade she has held senior management roles with two Perth-based not-for-profit organisations as well as an advisory Board position for a philanthropic organisation.
With almost 10 years at the Australian Institute of Management WA, she was responsible for a range of portfolios including working closely with major miners to develop their people during critical labour-shortage phases. In her membership positions Vanessa combined a strong background in marketing, organisational development, relationship management and consulting experience, to ensure continued growth was captured for her organisation whilst simultaneously ensuring significant member value creation. She is a communications professional with experience managing media and events, as well as being successful in securing a broad range of tender and project work.
Vanessa holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia as well as an Advanced Diploma of Management & Diploma of Marketing.
Austmine’s Meet the Miners provides an opportunity to foster closer collaboration, opening dialogue around operational issues and promotes emerging innovations and technologies. As part of IMARC Online, this hour will provide an opportunity for Austmine METS members to establish and develop direct relationships with mining companies and further their understanding of how the industry can better work together.
