The Government of India is the national administrative authority of the Republic of India, a federal democracy located in South Asia, consisting of 28 union states and eight union territories. Government operates its various functions under various ministries. Ministry of Mines, Ministry of Coal, & Ministry of Steel are three important ministries deals with mining, mineral & metals and are representing India during IMARC 2022. 

Ministry of Mines:

Ministry of Steel:

Ministry of Steel is responsible for Co-ordination and planning of the growth and development of Iron and Steel Industry in the country (including Re-rolling Mills, Alloy Steel and Ferro Alloy Industries, Refractories) both in the Public and Private Sectors. It’s function also includes Formulation of policies in respect of production, pricing, distribution, import and export of iron & steel, ferro alloys and refractories; and Development of input industries relating to iron ore, manganese ore, chrome ore and Refractories etc., required mainly by the steel industry. Ministry of Coal: 

The Ministry of Coal has the overall responsibility of determining policies and strategies in respect of exploration and development of coal and lignite reserves, sanctioning of important projects of high value and for deciding all related issues. Under the administrative control of the Ministry, these key functions are exercised through the Public Sector Undertakings, namely, Coal India Ltd. and its subsidiaries and Neyveli Lignite corporation India Limited (NLCIL).  Ministry of Coal along with Coal India Limited is participating in the IMRAC 2022 and representing Indian Coal Sector.
