The Resources Technology and Critical Minerals (RTCM) Trailblazer is a Curtin University-led initiative, delivered in collaboration with The University of Queensland, James Cook University and more than 70 industry partners.
Since its establishment in 2022, the RTCM Trailblazer has delivered significant impact by advancing extraction and refining technologies, accelerating the commercialisation of research, strengthening workforce capability and investing in nationally significant research infrastructure.
To date, the program has mobilised more than $200 million in combined university and industry co-investment across 77 projects, supported 691 participants through capability-building initiatives and progressed nine protoventures through the Curtin Venture Studio.
By bringing together industry, researchers and universities, the RTCM Trailblazer is translating research into real-world solutions and helping build a more innovative, sustainable and globally competitive resources sector.
