Anitha Mushokolwa

Anitha Mushokolwa is an accomplished audit and mining-sector professional with extensive experience in assurance, governance, risk management, financial advisory, and operational improvement across the mining and energy sectors in East and Southern Africa. She brings a distinctive perspective to mining capital markets through her experience in financial assurance, governance, risk management, corporate restructuring, and business improvement within capital-intensive industries.

Currently serving as Internal Audit Manager at JEMA Group of Companies, Anitha supports the strengthening of financial and operational controls, governance frameworks, financial advisory initiatives, and capital and business restructuring programmes. Her work provides practical insight into the challenges mining businesses face in improving investment readiness, managing risk, and building the governance and financial discipline required to attract capital.

Prior to joining JEMA, Anitha spent more than 16 years with EY, where she developed extensive experience in financial reviews, risk assessment, internal controls, compliance, and assurance engagements, including within major mining operations. She has also held senior audit leadership roles in auditing mining companies, including Tanzanian Royalty Exploration Corporation and TanzGraphite Company Limited, part of the Australian-headquartered EcoGraf group.

Her combination of mining-sector experience, audit leadership, financial advisory insight, and understanding of investor and governance requirements provides a practical perspective on how private capital, alternative financing structures, and stronger governance are reshaping the funding landscape for mining projects.
