Before Blackpath, he spent more than 18 years across BHP, Fortescue and Rio Tinto in senior roles spanning major capital development, portfolio governance, operational readiness, heritage, closure and Traditional Owner partnership. At Rio Tinto he led Western Range and Brockman Syncline 1 through feasibility and final investment decision, governing more than A$20 billion in development capital across the Pilbara. Following Juukan Gorge, he designed a nationally recognised co-management framework with Yinhawangka Traditional Owners and co-chaired Rio Tinto's Elevating Indigenous Voices Committee.
He holds an Executive MBA from UNSW AGSM and has completed executive study at Oxford Saïd Business School.
