Darryn is a Mining Engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering from the West Australian School of Mines as well as other business and professional qualifications. He has over 40 years of government, business, technical and engineering experience working on mining operations, projects and strategy on across the world.

For the past decade he has focussed on highlighting mining’s role in delivering the global energy transition on schedule with minimal harm to peoples and the environment.  This has involved having an active role leading the development of countries’ critical minerals strategies and free trade agreements to the development of satellite monitoring technology capable identifying and measuring tailings dam movement.

Darryn now leads a business unit in one of the world’s largest engineering companies tasked with engineering and building the required critical minerals infrastructure required, from mining to battery active materials manufacture and recycling.
