Dino Otranto has significant leadership experience across operational, technical and financial roles in Australia and internationally.

Mr Otranto will join Fortescue Metals Group in November 2021 as chief operating officer of iron ore. Prior to that, he spent 3 years in Canada as chief operating officer of Vale's base metals north Atlantic operations and as chief technology officer before that. Mr Otranto began his career with Worsley, starting at BHP Billiton Worsley Alumina and subsequently holding management positions in Brazil and Mozambique. In 2013, he joined South 32 Worsley Alumina as general manager of refinery before becoming vice president of operations and vice president of technology & innovation following the spin-off of South32 from BHP.

Mr Otranto graduated from Curtin University with dual Bachelor degrees in Science and Engineering.
