Mr Otranto commenced as Fortescue Metals Group’s (Fortescue) Chief Operating Officer in 2021, with responsibility for leading the Company’s iron ore operations.

A highly qualified senior executive, Mr Otranto has twenty years’ experience in the resources industry, spanning various commodities and operations across the globe. He brings significant operational, technical and financial expertise, and a strong focus on safety leadership and employee engagement to Fortescue’s Senior Executive team.

Mr Otranto holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) and a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) from Curtin University, a Graduate Diploma of Finance through Finsia and has recently attended an Executive Program at Tsinghua University China.
