Dr. Borys Vorobyov

Borys Vorobyov is a technology entrepreneur, executive, and platform architect with more than 40 years of experience in software engineering, spatial intelligence, Digital Twins, artificial intelligence, mining technology, infrastructure systems, and enterprise software
development.

Over the course of his career, Borys has founded and led four technology companies in Canada and Ukraine, serving in executive leadership, scientific, and technology architecture roles. He has successfully led more than 50 commercial and research-driven technology initiatives spanning mining, infrastructure, oil & gas, wireless communications, geospatial systems, XR/AR solutions, and AI-powered analytics.

Following a research and academic career focused on information technologies, modeling, and computational systems, Borys moved to Canada in 1998, where he held senior engineering and leadership positions with Northwood Technologies and Marconi Wireless
before founding several successful technology ventures. 

Borys is currently the Founder, Chairman of the Board, and Chief Executive Officer of SightPower Inc., where he leads the development of Digital Twin, Spatial Intelligence, GIS++, and AI-powered analytics platforms supporting mining, infrastructure, industrial operations, and digital transformation initiatives. He is also a co-founder of Arvizio Inc. (now Averian Inc.), where he served as CTO and Chief Scientist, leading the development of enterprise XR/AR and Digital Twin technologies, and where he currently acts as Senior Advisor.

Throughout his career, Borys has combined executive leadership, entrepreneurial vision, and hands-on technology architecture across multiple generations of enterprise platforms. He is the co-author of technical books, author of numerous scientific and engineering publications, contributor to industry podcasts, and a frequent speaker at professional conferences and industry events.
