Gavan Collery is an IMARC Ambassador. He has worked as a Corporate Affairs specialist in the Australian and offshore minerals industry for more than 40 years. He has had a broad involvement in the minerals industry, with related interactions with government, investors, media and community.
Gavan is the Founder of the Melbourne Mining Club (MMC: Steering Committee). He is also a Life Member of the MMC. As a Corporate Affairs specialist, he has worked inside a range of mining companies including Elders Resources NZFP, Western Mining Corporation (WMC) and Indophil Resources NL, extending to advisory roles with a range of corporates including Rex Minerals and Arete Capital Partners. Gavan is a recipient of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to the mining industry. He is a Fellow of the AusIMM (including “Outstanding Leadership Award 2024”), a Fellow of Communication and Public Relations Australia and a Life Member of the Australia-Philippines Business Council. Gavan’s professional background began in journalism.
