Roque has been a pivotal figure in driving innovation within the mining industry. As the creator and co-founder of MiningHub in 2018, he established a platform that unites 25 mining companies, suppliers, startups, and investors to foster open innovation and tackle the sector's most significant challenges. This initiative has set a benchmark for innovation hubs across various industries including energy, construction, and more.

At Vale, one of the world's largest mining companies, Roque currently leads the Future Use division, focusing on repurposing post-operational sites with innovative solutions. His tenure at Vale has been marked by significant contributions, including spearheading a digital and cultural transformation within the engineering team.

Previously, Roque was integral to the innovation and performance management programs at Ferrous Resources do Brasil, which was acquired by Vale for $550 million in 2018. His diverse background also includes experience in banking, telecommunications, automotive, and tech industries.

Roque holds a degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship and has further honed his expertise through advanced studies in innovation and strategy at notable institutions including the University of Houston, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Insper.
