WIM Ecuador

With over 20 years of experience in Human Resources & DEI, lliana has made significant contributions to multi-cultural teams in industry-leading companies in the chemical, oil and gas and mining industries in South America, North America, the Middle East, and Africa.  

Between 2015 and 2023, Iliana served as the Vice-President, Human Resources at Lundin Gold. During this period, she led the execution of the talent strategy for the development of Fruta del Norte, the first large-scale underground gold mine in Ecuador.

Aiming to accelerate the nationalization of the workforce in country, she implemented ground-breaking projects centered around education and training that have been recognized by prestigious organizations, including United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG´s), IDB and UN Woman.   

As Co-Founder and current President of Women in Mining Ecuador, she actively promotes women's access to opportunities.

In 2022, Iliana became the first Ecuadorian to be selected by WIM UK as a “WIM 100” honoree in their program "Women Who Inspire in the Global Mining Industry".
