With almost two decades of environmental management experience, James Anderson draws on his extensive environmental, project management and commercial skills to deliver excellence for our clients. Before launching Thiess Rehabilitation in 2022, James led Thiess’ environmental and civil team, overseeing the development and delivery of more than 500 hectares of rehabilitation each year across Australia and Indonesia.
James’ leadership has been pivotal to developing Thiess' strong environmental management capability and reputation, including establishing business-wide environmental standards critical for responsible and sustainable mining.
Through Thiess Rehabilitation, James leads a global team delivering environmental management, civil engineering, mine rehabilitation and water management services, drawing on Thiess’ broader capabilities, including landform design, advanced surveying, asset management and maintenance. Under James’ leadership, Thiess’ rehabilitation outcomes have been recognised in international forums for enabling the highest standards of sustainability.
James holds a Bachelor of Environmental Management, and a Master of Environmental Law.
