Jon Robbeson FAusIMM(CP)

Jon is the AusIMM Sydney Branch Chair and as a passionate, lifelong campaigner, he is an active voice for industry professionals and student cohorts in New South Wales. He is a Fellow of the AusIMM (CP) and is a keen mentor in the WiMnet NSW Mentoring program.

With nearly 25 years of hands-on technical, corporate and director experience throughout the mining value chain, Jon has held senior titles in both Australian and international multi-nationals through to SME's. He is currently the Co-founder and Chief Operating officer of DryFlow Magnetics an innovative start-up technology company which is able to reduce energy emissions and water use in the dry beneficiation of Iron Ore to produce High Purity Iron (HPI) in Australia and for Australia so the country remains competitive against its rivals. 

With a passion for curiosity, strong governance, leadership he brings with him a mix of skills, energy and enthusiasm required to face the ongoing challenges of our industry. Jon has experience leading high performing teams and he believes that when provided the right opportunity people, through the power of effective team collaboration, can all achieve incredible things.
