Mark Sykes

Mark leads Sev.en Global Investments’ operations and investment strategy in Australia, bringing over 30 years of experience in the natural resources and energy sectors.

With a strong foundation in mining engineering and minerals and energy economics, Mark has held senior roles across both Australian and international markets. His expertise spans corporate strategy, technical engineering, project management, asset portfolio optimisation, and mergers & acquisitions.

Mark’s career reflects a blend of hands-on technical knowledge and high-level strategic oversight, allowing him to drive value creation and operational efficiency across diverse investment portfolios.

Mark holds various board roles including Delta Power & Energy owner of the Vales Point Power Station and Chain Valley Colliery in New South Wales, SO4 owner of the Lake Way Potash Project in Western Australia, and IGPH the 50% joint venture participant of the Callide C Power Station in Queensland.

Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from Curtin University, and a Master’s in Mineral and Energy Economics from Macquarie University.
