Mary graduated from Monash University with an Honours degree in Earth Sciences, focussed on structural geology and geophysics.
She started her career in mineralogy and mineral chemistry, working both in the laboratory and in the Exploration team, interpreting and applying these data to prospectivity and vectoring across multiple commodities. She has developed expertise in applying mineralogy and spectral geology to exploration targeting and ore body knowledge.
Mary is now a Senior Geoscientist at Newcrest. In her current role she implements emerging technologies and innovations into Newcrest's Exploration team.
