Michael Nossal

Mike is Non-Executive Chair of EQ Resources, the ASX-listed tungsten producer with operations in North Queensland and Spain, and a director of Midway, a forestry and carbon management company, where he chairs the Safety and Sustainability Committee. He was previously Chair of ASX-listed critical minerals company IGO limited.

Over his executive and board career of 35+ years Mike also held senior roles and/or directorships at Newcrest, MMG, WMC Resources, Lundin Gold, Nordgold, En+ Group, UC Rusal, Normandy Mining and Kenmare Resources, with particular experience in strategy and business development.  He has led growth initiatives in mining and exploration companies in a wide range of commodities, has worked across the major mining regions of the world and served on boards listed on the ASX, LSE, HKEX and TSX.  He is a Fellow of the AusIMM, a Member of the AICD and holds an MBA from the Wharton School.

Mike has a firm belief that developing mining projects can and should be a force for positive change in the countries and communities in which they operate, including by supplying the critical minerals a lower-carbon economy needs.
