Warwick is an operational leader, chemical engineer and computer scientist with over 15 years’ experience in the mining and metals industry. Through various site operations management and technical leadership roles across complex mining value chains, Warwick has developed a strong focus on helping operations stabilize and optimize their processes through improved decision-making.
He specialises in helping operators to take simple yet strategic steps towards data-driven process transformation, by steadily demystifying the application of advanced data analytics, machine learning and AI to operational decision-making processes.
Warwick has also worked extensively in the mining digital technology space. He lead the development and implementation of one of the industry’s first remote centres of excellence, providing streaming analytical solutions and decision support services to minerals processing operations across Australia and Asia. Warwick has been involved in several machine learning and advanced analytics projects for minerals processing applications, ranging from direct delivery to independent reviewer roles, and has had the benefit of learning from both good and bad practices in this emerging field.
At Hatch, Warwick’s role is Principle Consultant Decision Support, and leads the digital business practice in the area of Analytical and Decision Solutions for the Australia-Asia region. Prior to joining Hatch, Warwick was the Operations Manager for Mount Isa Mines’ Zn Processing value chain and General Manager of Operations at Interlate.
