Australia Africa Minerals & Energy Group AAMEG

Founded in 2011, the Australia-Africa Minerals and Energy Group (AAMEG) is the peak body representing Australian companies engaged in Africa’s resources sector.

AAMEG membership is more than a financial commitment—it demonstrates support for Australian companies operating across Africa and a commitment to sustainable, ethical and successful resource development.

Member contributions enable AAMEG to:

• Engage directly with senior representatives from DFAT, AFP, ASPI and ASIO on issues affecting members operating in Africa.

• Represent members at key Australian and African conferences, facilitating direct connections with African mining ministers, Australian Heads of Mission and other key stakeholders.

• Deliver a diverse calendar of expert-led events, providing valuable insights, learning and networking opportunities.

• Facilitate industry Working Groups covering Legal & Tax, ESG, and Security, Resilience & Business Continuity.

• Develop practical guiding documentation to help members identify and manage risks associated with operating in Africa.

Through these initiatives, AAMEG strengthens connections, shares knowledge and supports members in achieving sustainable, responsible outcomes across Africa.
