Jerred Workun

Jerred Workun, Canadian Professional Mining Engineer, has spent his 13-year career centered around creating and executing the hourly-to-two-week mine plan across nearly every role. Early in his career, survey, drill and blast, and short-range mine planning built the foundation for how to create a schedule and understand what makes a plan something operations can actually execute. 

Moving in-seat to dispatch opened his eyes to the criticality of planning to the constraint and embedding flexibility into the plan to absorb the variability of a mine operating in real time. Moving from dispatch into implementing all aspects of short interval control, Jerred honed his ability to integrate siloed departments and complex, interdependent activities through the right inputs, proactive communication, and strong risk identification and mitigation. Jerred joined Outliers Mining Solutions three years ago, where he is actively implementing execution planning for productivity and short interval control solutions at client sites across North America — and soon in Australia.
